Five visiting students this summer

It is a great pleasure to welcome five visiting students this summer. 

First off, we have James Morgan joining us for two weeks straight after his third year exams. James is a Chemistry undergraduate at St. John's College Oxford. He is working with Xiaoyu Guo and Dr. Huimin Zhu on silver iodobismuthate compounds for thin film photovoltaics.

We also have Samarth Sharma visiting us for two months from IIT Bombay, where he worked with Prof. Abhijeet Sangle (who completed his PhD at the same time as Prof. Hoye). Samarth is working on depositing thick films of BiOI for radiation detection, and is working with Kavya Reddy Dudipala.

Then, we have Natalie Ngoh and Kieran De-Ville, both undergraduate students who have completed the second year of their degrees and are working with us for 8 weeks over the summer. Natalie is a BSc student from the Department of Materials at Imperial College London, while Kieran is reading Chemistry at St. John's College Oxford. Natalie is working with Dr. Yi-Teng Huang on ternary bismuth chalcogenides for photovoltaics, while Kieran is working with Dr. Jason Ye on perovskite nanoplatelets for polarised light emission.

Finally, we welcome back Maia for a one-month visit. Maia is a final-year PhD student from Uruguay, where she is also simultaneously an Assistant Professor, working on BiSI for radiation detectors.
