Jason's paper on hot carrier cooling published

Jason's paper has now been published in Nature Communications. This is the final work from his PhD, where he showed that the defect tolerance of band-edge carriers in halide perovskites can be extended also to hot carriers. That is, hot carriers are not universally defect tolerant in these materials, but depend on the electron affinity and ionisation potential, which affect how shallow or deep halide vacancies are in these materials. This resolves an important debate in the field, and was found through careful ultrafast spectroscopy measurements, along with the development of a kinetic model for hot carrier cooling kinetics.
