Kickstart of NSF-EPSRC project

Today we kickstarted our NSF-EPSRC collaborative project on radiation detectors. This involves Prof. Quanxi Jia and Prof. Wanyi Nie at the University at Buffalo (Materials and Physics, respectively), along with Prof. Judith Driscoll at the University of Cambridge. We are the UK lead on this project, and the focus is on scaling up BiOI X-ray imagers for medical applications. Also joining the meeting were two of Robert's students working on developing polycrystalline BiOI detectors, giving an update.

The proof of concept work was published in our Nature Communications paper last year, along with a patent. We and Wanyi's group published a review paper in Advanced Materials on radiation detectors as well.
