Prof. Hoye awarded EU-40 Materials Prize (Paul Siffert Award)!
Robert is awarded the 2026 EU-40 Materials Prize, which is now named the Paul Siffert Award after one of the early presidents of the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS). This is a great honour that recognises the group's work on the discovery, synthesis and applications of novel optoelectronic materials, particularly in the areas of defect tolerance and electron-phonon coupling. The award recognises the international impact the group has had in the optoelectronics field, as well as our promise for future leadership. Previous awardees of the EU-40 prize are Prof. Henry Snaith, Prof. Aron Walsh and Prof. Molly Stevens.
With this award, Prof. Hoye is also invited to present at the special award winners ceremony at the 2026 Fall MRS Meeting & Exhibit in Boston (MA), USA.
