Two new people, and a completion
We are delighted to welcome two new people to the group, and celebrate a completion.
Dr. Ivy Liu finished her DPhil at the end of last year, and has now had that officially confirmed by the University. Ivy worked on vacancy-ordered triple perovskites and Ag-Bi-I semiconductors for photovoltaic applications, investigating their charge-carrier transport properties and synthesis as thin films. She was the first student to join the group when we began at Imperial College London in 2020, and moved with us in 2022. She is the 11th PhD student to graduate from the group, and the first DPhil student from the group to graduate from Oxford. Well done Ivy! Read her thesis following this link
We are also delighted to welcome Dr. Yongjie Wang from ICFO Barcelona. Yongjie joins us as a postdoc working on chalcogenides for indoor photovoltaics, and previously achieved two world-record efficiencies for AgBiS2 photovoltaics. In addition, we welcome Suzzy Su, who joins us as a Masters student. Suzzy completed her Bachelors in Chemistry at Imperial College London, previously working with Prof. James Durant and Dr. Artem Bakulin.
