Two former postdocs now professors!
We are delighted that two of our former postdocs, Yongjie Wang and Jason Ye, are now professors in China, setting up their own groups.
Jason is setting up his group in the State Key Laboratory of Luminescence and Devices, which is within the South China University of Technology in Guangzhou. His group focuses on ultrafast spectroscopy, building upon what he learnt during his PhD and built on during his postdoc. We are also delighted to see that Jason was awarded a prize by the China Scholarship Council for outstanding overseas study for the exceptional work on perovskite nanocrystals he did while with the group.
Yongjie is setting up his group at Soochow University, in the campus located near the Suzhou Industrial Park in China. His group focuses on novel chalcogenide nanocrystal materials, which he worked on during his postdoc with the group.
Both Yongjie and Jason were awarded a grant for outstanding overseas scholars to help them set up their groups. We look forward to seeing the excellent work that will come from them in the future!
