Ava is a fourth-year MChem student from Exeter College. She joined the Hoye group in 2026 for her Part II project, which is focussed on developing recycling routes for chalcogenide thin film solar absorbers. This is with the intention of enabling the closed-loop manufacturing of thin film tandem photovoltaics. As part of her project, she is working together with Eilidh Quinn
