Bio: Mengyuan Huang completed her MSci in Chemistry at Imperial College London, where she conducted research under the supervision of Dr. Andreas Kafizas. Her Masters project focused on cobalt-based co-catalysts on bismuth vanadate photoanodes for photoelectrochemical water splitting systems.
She began her PhD study in Oct. 2025 and is part of St. John's College. Her work focuses on the development of thin film tandem solar cells. She also investigates materials discovery and synthesis of transparent oxides free from scarce or expensive elements.
