Bio: Reece is a DPhil student funded by the Department, and is aligned with the Air2Fuel programme grant. Reece is co-supervised by Prof. Hoye and Prof. Ludmilla Steier, who are both co-Investigators on the programme grant. Reece is working on developing novel inorganic light harvesting materials for gas-phase photocatalysis.
Previously, Reece was an MChem student, who conducted his Part II project with the Hoye Group. He worked on developing CuBiSCl2 for photovoltaics, studying the synthesis and charge-carrier transport properties.
